Depression: darkness with hope to follow.
It is important to note that people with depression are really ill, that there is much hope on their horizon, and that the latest research is all about successfully using nutritional supplementation as part of the treatment.
If you have a family member affected by depression, please remember that this is a disease like any other. This person did not choose to be depressed. They deserve respect, love, and compassion. And when they are ready: help.
In doing research for my health articles, I discovered that "depression" was one of the ten most searched words. As I read many of the articles and visited the web sites, I was struck by the gloominess of the prognosis: the lack of hope in the supporting information.
Please don't believe this!
Our bodies are naturally meant to grow, get better, find positive support. We are meant to look ahead, but sometimes the stretch into the future is very hopeless.
Our minds are very powerful and will drag us down if we aren't careful. So please help your loved one to focus on a worthy goal: something that could make them happy or laugh. Something that makes going through this tough stage a little more bearable.
If you have been touched by it yourself or someone you love, I ask you to spend a little time in the web site of Dr. Ray Strand.

Dr. Strand is a family practitioner with a huge regular practice. He will share some of his experiences with you. He will also provide you with hope and proof of treatable outcomes.
Know that prescription drugs aren't the only source of treatment. Many of us choose not to go that way. There are alternatives within the mainstream medical community. Read about the wonderful benefits of St. John's
Wort. Be prepared for success stories through lesser, but very reliable sources.
"The medical literature is beginning to show us evidence that the main cause of these conditions may be impaired fatty acid and phospholipid metabolism. Studies are appearing that are looking at how patients respond when high-quality nutritional supplements are added to their traditional medical therapy. These studies are showing a positive response for the patient. " Dr. R. Strand, MD
Having gone through a rather severe, albeit short bout of it myself, I feel compelled to tell of the possible positive outcomes.
We all go through tough stuff. Sticking to a worthy long-term goal makes the journey easier and the outcome automatic. Just don't quit!
Here's to the light at the end of every tunnel!
