Health for Success: Why You See A Healthy Living Section

First I should tell you a little about myself;  I am a nurse who teaches wellness clinics amongst my other teaching and consulting. This includes lifestyle change suggestions to the general public.

Recently I was hired to hold a clinic in a COSTCO pharmacy. I was struck by the "busyness" of the long lines at the checkout counters. I couldn't resist a sneak peak at the contents of the grocery baskets. My...my... my! Fast...very fast meals, lots of preservatives, pop by the cans and by the bottles, sweet stuff galore. I silently hoped they would stop at the green grocer on the way home...Probably not. Life seems too busy. 

The other thing I noticed was the constant ever-moving lines at the pharmacy.

In places like COSTCO, I make a point of going up to people to discuss health concerns with the shoppers: they won't leave their carts long enough to come to me. This gives me a chance to meet the children and we end up having very satisfying conversations.

BUT the added problem here is that they have SEVERAL health issues, especially asthma and allergies, high cholesterol, high stress levels, etc.

This is health teaching on the fly, but it's so real these days that it's the norm now. Both men and women appreciate the personal answers, the information, testing, and/or handouts.


That led me to thinking about our ezine. Yes I know it's about Mailing List building, but what good is having a top-notch list and you have little energy or heavens forbid...no health with which to enjoy your financial rewards! 

So I thought it might be helpful to discuss some of the more common issues and maybe come up with a few hints. If there are enough questions I'll consider starting a discussion list.

Whenever I plan some type of marketing strategy, I try to figure out where the prospect "is hanging out": so ezines is where Internet marketers hang out. Therefore it's where I'll post some Helpful information.

One of the first topics will be about stress, but I give it a different twist. I love being positive! I can't stand being around negative, controlling people: so this information will be for those of us that don't have time to go to the gym and exercise for a couple of hours, or have hours to meditate. I'll teach you, little by little, in easy steps, just how to get your health back to its optimum shape...and it won't be too boring or difficult!

Also my information is always researched using the mainstream medical sources: I find that this provides more credibility for my clients.
